Ambition
CIRCULAR WELD aims at improving the quality of dot-by-dot WAAM process and the reliability and precision of the 3D printed products by developing advanced digital models validated through process monitoring and experimental tests. These advancements enable the establishment of the Digital Twin (DT) model of the whole process-to-product workflow.
The ambition of the project is to foster the introduction of high-grade circular economy actions in constructions exploiting new retrofitting solutions developed using the novel dot by dot WAAM technology. The overarching idea is to establish a bridge between the physical and digital process-to-product workflow by developing a digital twin (DT) model of the whole process-to-product workflow validated through experiments. The DT model will enable to improve the process and product quality and reliability.
