Second Batch - Joint Bars

Joint bars will be manufactured and tested. Two types of joints have been investigated based on the unit cell selected for the project. A specific set of parameters was used based on the analysis of the 1st batch on single bars. Preliminary tests were performed to investigate different joint strategies. Two main strategies have been proposed: strategy "A" based on single dot bar connection with overlap and strategy "B" based on multiple dot bars connection.

 

The two selected strategies were used to manufacture the two different types of joint. Specimen realized in UNIFI will be tested at the UNIBO facilities.
